About The Position

As a Security Officer Juvenile Assessment Center in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with the public, support day-to-day operations through clear communication and customer service, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values to every shift with teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas while verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
Support daily operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining activity logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors, teammates, and/or local authorities when needed.
