As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a tech and telecom location, you will support an unarmed patrol post by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine foot patrols, and staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to concerns with calm communication, and document observations using site tools. You will bring our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while putting people first through teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, tenants, and visitors at a tech and telecom location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, and common spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and visitor management tools, and report irregularities per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, unauthorized access concerns, and facility issues; coordinate with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and maintenance or access concerns in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
