As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, access control concerns and/or disruptive behavior.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading or dock spaces and perimeter points as assigned.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor entry processes, including checking identification, issuing badges and/or verifying approvals per site policy.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, server or equipment rooms and other designated areas for unusual conditions and report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Operate site communication systems such as radios, phones, access control systems and/or CCTV where assigned, and report observed concerns per post orders.
Document patrol activity, incidents, observations and policy violations in written reports and daily activity logs, including timely notification to appropriate personnel.
Coordinate with onsite facilities teams and/or law enforcement or fire personnel when requested, and assist with directing people away from impacted areas during incidents.
Follow established post orders for after-hours building operations, including checking common areas, responding to alarms and assisting with securing nonpublic areas when directed.
Maintain a professional presence, provide directions and general assistance, and support a customer-focused environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or activity.
