Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Plant Patrol in Waterloo, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and deliver customer service through clear communication. You will succeed by acting with integrity while staying agile, reliable, innovative, and team focused.

Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, warehouses, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unsecured conditions.
• Monitor access points and vehicle or foot traffic as assigned, verifying authorization and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance, coordinating notifications, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident details, and notable observations, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
