About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Specialist in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will be expected to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. Requirements

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, providing guidance as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and/or identification as required.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures as directed by site and Allied Universal leadership.
