About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Center - Full Time in WEST POINT, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all personnel and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Development certificate is required.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and identify any unusual activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as necessary to address security-related situations.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the location.
