About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Desk in Spirit Lake, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points within a manufacturing and industrial location, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report irregularities per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Operate security-related systems such as access control panels, cameras, intercoms, and radios, and complete shift reports with clear, accurate information.
