Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Monroe, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional at this manufacturing and industrial location, you will oversee access control, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attentiveness will contribute to a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties, demonstrating our commitment to reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and offering assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow established protocols for reporting and escalation.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and observations throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and uphold site-specific policies.
• Operate security-related equipment such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, and communication devices as required by the location.
• Support the enforcement of company policies and procedures regarding property, personnel, and visitor movement within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
