As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Fontana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points at the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related procedures.
Verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities, security-related hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any access control violations, incidents, or unusual occurrences as required by site and Allied Universal guidelines.
Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel as necessary.
