About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Oakland, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and property.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and site-specific protocols.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and respond to emergency situations or incidents in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while performing access control duties.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to communicate concerns or observations related to security-related matters at the location.
