About The Position

The Security Officer II at Isleta Resort & Casino is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and the casino's assets. This role emphasizes the importance of providing world-class guest service while maintaining a secure environment. The officer will monitor activities, report irregularities, assist in investigations, and foster positive relations with guests and staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Six months of Law Enforcement, Military, Emergency Services, or security experience required.
  • Demonstrated guest/customer service experience required.
  • Must acquire and maintain Key Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must possess a valid New Mexico driver's license with no revocations or suspensions in the last three years.
  • Must maintain all required certifications, including CPR and Responsible Gaming.

Nice To Haves

  • Moderate computer skills and ability to operate Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.
  • Strong commitment to organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of Isleta Resort and Casino's operations and procedures.
  • Maintain constant surveillance throughout the casino and resort properties.
  • Report suspicious or unusual activities to the proper Department Supervisor and Surveillance.
  • Assist in investigations of suspicious activities and complete incident reports as needed.
  • Escort and assist departments with transfers from one destination to another.
  • Monitor traffic both inside and outside the casino.
  • Control access to restricted areas and check identification as required.
  • Perform first aid/CPR as required.
  • Work with tribal police, fire, and emergency medical teams as needed.
  • Accept lost and found items and tag them for safekeeping.
  • Assist in locating lost guests and file reports if unable to find them.
  • Foster and maintain positive relations with guests, employees, and vendors.
  • Notify chain of command of complaints and remove individuals when necessary.
  • Respond to special events requiring crowd control and utilize minimal physical force when needed.
  • Attend court hearings or depositions on behalf of the casino as required.
  • Promote an open and welcoming atmosphere and greet guests courteously.
  • Provide basic information on promotions and special events as requested.
  • Drive company vehicle on public roads as needed.
