About The Position

As a Security Officer - ID Validation Desk in Lenexa, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and team members, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and support visitor and trailer check-in. You will maintain a visible presence, document activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or delivery paperwork, issuing visitor badges, and directing foot and vehicle traffic to approved areas.
• Monitor and log inbound and outbound activity including trucks, trailers, and packages as required, documenting exceptions and escalating concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes at access points, medical events, and/or weather-related disruptions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including gates, loading docks, trailer yards, and parking areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
