About The Position
HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide safety and security services to ensure the well-being of both people and property by patrolling assigned areas and enforcing rules and regulations. The Security Officer responds to all in-building emergency requests and alarms and provides assistance and coordination. HSHS Security Officers are often the first or last person our patients, visitors and colleagues encounter in our facilities. Therefore, Security Officers are expected to be professional and courteous, while balancing the challenges that occur while working in the hospital environment. Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is required.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is preferred.
- Associate degree in law enforcement, Criminal Justice or military service is preferred.
- One year of experience with knowledge of private security functions obtained through education or work experience such as military, public safety or fire department is preferred.
- Successfully complete the Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Certification within the first 90 days of employment is preferred (if utilized at the affiliate).
