About The Position

The Security Officer l is an active member in the Security Team as well as the First Responder Team. This individual provides a wide variety of safety and security activities and services. The Security Officer l maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• within 6 months' of start date: State of Wisconsin valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification, awarded by the American Heart Association.
• First Responder Certified.
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention trained.
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment.
• Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System's Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program.

Nice To Haves

• Post high school education with emphasis on security or law enforcement.
• One year in protective services or safety related field or currently enrolled in a safety or security related coursework.
• Experience with security functions in a healthcare setting.
