About The Position
Protects the organization's employees, patients, visitors, properties and all items of value on premises from any preventable harm or danger. Maintains general order of the local environment and intervenes in disturbances in a calm and efficient manner guided by courtesy, established rules and regulations. Detects, corrects, reports, investigates, manages, and mitigates safety and security hazards and violations on hospital campuses and off site properties using appropriate tools, training, and resources. Assists in Incident Command situations, psychiatric patient evaluations and management, duress alarms, conflict situations, and hazardous materials/waste spills. Responds and assists with all medical emergencies within the scope of the officer's training.
