About The Position
The Security Officer I position at Tropicana Laughlin is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets, employees, and guests. This position requires a proactive approach to security, adhering to company policies and procedures while providing a safe environment for all. The ideal candidate will have a background in security or law enforcement, with military experience being a plus. The role demands a high level of vigilance and the ability to respond effectively to various situations that may arise within the casino environment. As a Security Officer, you will assist guests and employees in a variety of situations, responding to incidents and accidents that may affect their welfare. It is essential to remain calm and make rational decisions during crises, documenting incidents accurately and recalling specific details as needed. Communication with outside authorities, such as the Metro Police Department and Fire Department, is a key aspect of this role, ensuring that all incidents are handled appropriately and in compliance with regulations. In addition to responding to emergencies, the Security Officer will provide direction and instruction to guests and employees during critical situations, following orders from outside agencies and Tropicana management. Knowledge of investigations, gaming regulations, and internal controls is crucial for this position. If assigned to Casino Patrol, the officer will handle monetary transactions between the Cage and Gaming Tables, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and assisting with cash box distributions and slot drop escorts as required.
