About The Position

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department at Morristown Medical Center. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including first, second, and third shifts, weekends, and holidays. Shift hours may vary and can be 8 or 12 hours in duration. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility and its occupants.

Requirements

• Must be able to work first, second, and third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time.
• Proficiency with computers is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must attend mandatory training sessions.
• Must pass an N95 Fit Test and be able to wear an N95 or surgical mask for short and extended periods.
• Must pass an AHS approved physical control tactics course.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a security role or similar position.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety tours of the facility and grounds.
• Respond to emergencies and conduct investigations.
• Gather information and complete electronic reports.
• De-escalate violent or threatening individuals.
• Engage with patients, visitors, and staff.
