About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Vechicle Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hotel and resort locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This position is a driving post, offering the opportunity to interact with a variety of people while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Lifting up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel and resort location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate supervisor or law enforcement as required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the location.
Assist guests, staff, and visitors with security-related needs and directions as appropriate.
Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
