Job Description As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Shepherdsville, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points and yard activity, and document security-related observations. You will communicate clearly with operations teams and visitors, respond to incidents, and provide customer service with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Control access at gates and entry points by checking identification, verifying delivery and pickup information, documenting arrivals and departures and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Complete reports and logs including patrol findings, incident documentation and shift activities, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel and/or management.
