About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid Guard Card or license (preferred).
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting hotel staff and guests as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity within the location to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Communicate and cooperate with hotel management and Allied Universal team members regarding site activities, incidents, and/or emergencies.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or guest movement during peak hours or special events at the location as required.
