About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Full-Time in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a distinguished hotel location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the property to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for guests and staff. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while you support the hotel's day-to-day operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within hotel and resort environments.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter potential unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
  • Assist guests, visitors, and staff with questions, directions, and security-related concerns as needed.
  • Complete and submit detailed incident and/or daily activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Support emergency response procedures, including evacuation and/or medical assistance as required by site-specific policies.
  • Communicate promptly with hotel management and/or Allied Universal supervisors regarding any issues, incidents, or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
