As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy hotel and resort setting, you will conduct routine foot patrols of guest areas, parking lots, and back-of-house spaces, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to guest and staff needs with clear communication and customer service. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, corridors, meeting and banquet areas, parking lots, and building perimeter to help to reduce unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, observe for suspicious behavior and/or maintenance hazards, and communicate observations to management and/or appropriate responders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, noise complaints, trespassing concerns, and medical situations, while following post orders.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, maintain activity logs, and coordinate with hotel staff and/or local public sector personnel as directed.
