As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a school location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with courteous service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly to support smooth daily operations. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, hallways, common areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting conditions, documenting events, and notifying appropriate contacts per post orders.
• Support access control at designated entrances by monitoring visitor flow, verifying identification when directed, and observing for prohibited items or unusual behavior.
• Perform routine rounds and checks of doors, gates, lighting, and other physical conditions, and communicate maintenance-related concerns through established reporting channels.
