As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick reporting, and customer-focused service. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as directed, and assisting with visitor check-in and wayfinding while maintaining required privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
