As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Officer in Philadelphia, PA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. The role requires a six (6) month commitment to a designated weekly shift, with the option to claim extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and experience. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Assist with access control activities by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials where required, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Support a professional environment by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and following post orders and healthcare location protocols.
