As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to requests from staff and visitors, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • This post is in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
  • This post is in a hospital environment with a morgue.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and location-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital interior areas and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, corridors, parking areas, and other assigned locations for irregular conditions, and report concerns per site procedures.
  • Complete security-related reports and log entries, including incident documentation, shift activity notes, and follow-up communications as directed.
