As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within the hospital to help to deter incidents and support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service while assisting staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Vaccinations are required for work in hospital settings.
  • Work assignments may include duties in a hospital morgue.
  • Applicants may be required to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist healthcare staff, visitors, and patients with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support Allied Universal management by following all security-related protocols and post orders specific to the healthcare location.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed, including assisting during evacuations or other urgent situations.
