Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed Patrols in Cleveland, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a healthcare environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with those you encounter. Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination is required for this hospital site.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support access control processes and visitor management as required by location policies.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or traffic management during peak periods or special events within the healthcare location.
