About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service while documenting activity and sharing timely updates with your team. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff, management, and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or visitor credentials when required, and directing patients, visitors, and vendors to appropriate destinations.
  • Document and report security-related activities, observations, and incidents using required logs and reporting tools, and communicate noteworthy issues to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
