Requirements

  • Must comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in hospital morgue environments.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to assist with restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
