As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for all. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing excellent customer service while remaining visible and responsive. Your duties may involve assisting with loss prevention, responding to incidents, and helping to maintain order in specialized hospital settings. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in hospital environments, including areas such as the morgue, and perform duties that may include restraining individuals as required by the post.
  • Must be able to provide proof of vaccinations as required for hospital settings.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Observe and report security-related irregularities such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the location.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed, relaying critical information promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports of all security-related incidents, activities, and observations during each shift.
  • Support Allied Universal management and other team members in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for everyone at the location.
