As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide exceptional customer service. This position requires driving responsibilities, allowing you to play an active role in maintaining a secure atmosphere while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
  • Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or wayfinding for patients, staff, and guests within the healthcare location.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents and maintain a secure setting.
