As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout hospital buildings, clinical areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, and/or radio traffic, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken according to site policies.
  • Assist with visitor management and access control by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, directing foot traffic, and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
