As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and other security-related duties within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and emergency responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems when assigned, reporting unusual activity and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document security-related incidents, patrol activity, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
