As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service, while documenting observations and responding to concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and requests for assistance from clinical teams.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, entrances, and the perimeter including parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor management as directed by site policy, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as required.
