Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Roving Unarmed in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to provide proof of required vaccines for hospital environments.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Document and communicate all security-related incidents and activities according to site protocols.
