Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Roving Unarmed in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to provide proof of required vaccines for hospital environments.
Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
Be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
Work collaboratively with healthcare staff to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
Document and communicate all security-related incidents and activities according to site protocols.
