As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a hospital setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations. Requirements

Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Must be able to work at a hospital site that includes a morgue.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to restrain individuals as required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, waiting areas, and exterior grounds to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access at designated entrances and restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and supporting visitor check-in processes in accordance with site policies.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems as assigned, and communicate observed issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Document and report security-related incidents, patrol observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns using required reports and/or electronic systems.
Provide assistance with wayfinding and general service requests, including directing patients and visitors to departments, parking, and pick-up and drop-off areas.
Support de-escalation efforts during challenging interactions and request additional resources when needed, including clinical staff and/or law enforcement.
Perform interior and exterior rounds of parking areas, loading docks, and entrances, noting suspicious activity and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
Assist with access control for deliveries, contractors, and vendors by following screening and authorization procedures.
Support emergency procedures such as fire panels, evacuation routes, and medical emergency notifications as directed by site policy and post orders.
