Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Rover Driver in Cleveland, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, so you may also move between areas as needed. Requirements

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and restricted areas, verifying authorization as required, and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate significant issues to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving observations and maintaining chain of custody for found property when applicable.
