Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Rounds Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help create a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your customer service and communication skills will support a positive experience for everyone on site. Requirements

Vaccines required for hospital settings.
Must be able to work in hospital morgue environments.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients to address inquiries or direct them as needed.
Follow all protocols and procedures specific to the healthcare environment, adapting to changing conditions and requirements as needed.
