About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Full Time in Erie, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide exceptional customer service while responding to various situations. Requirements

Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
This hospital site includes a morgue.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must be able to restrain individuals as required at this hospital site.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including supporting medical staff and coordinating with emergency services when needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
