Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when appropriate, and support visitor management practices in alignment with site policies and healthcare location requirements.
- Assist with de-escalation, directional support, and incident response coordination while maintaining professionalism and clear communication with staff, patients, and/or first responders.
