As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls, support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, visitor issues, and access concerns, and communicate updates to site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor direction and badge compliance, and document security-related activity in daily logs and incident reports according to site requirements.
• Observe and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns discovered during rounds, and coordinate with appropriate departments for follow-up.
