As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Monroeville, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to various situations as needed. Requirements

  • Hospital employees must comply with all vaccine requirements as mandated by the facility.
  • Work assignments may include responsibilities in hospital morgue areas.
  • Employees may be required to assist with restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential risks to appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification, and helping to direct visitors as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and offering assistance as required.
