About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Overnight Shift in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable presence while responding to security-related concerns and assisting staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism and respect.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening processes, badge checks, and/or directional support in accordance with site procedures and healthcare location protocols.
  • Document observed activity, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns through detailed reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
