Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a calm environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role calls for strong communication, professionalism, and customer service, along with teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while responding to the needs of staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must have 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, visitor procedures, and/or after-hours protocols.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating routine concerns, and communicating clearly with staff, patients, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
