Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital morgue experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • The ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including support during medical-related emergencies as directed by site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity in accordance with location policies, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and/or daily observations in required reports, while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
