About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full-Time in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to individuals on site by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, adhering to established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs within the healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and/or emergency personnel to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and other relevant activities as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying identification as required at the location.
