As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations. Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Baton Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or report hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, provide directions and assistance, and help to maintain orderly movement in lobbies, corridors, and other public areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and security-related documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity summaries per site requirements.
