As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide outstanding customer service while responding to situations as needed. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Vaccines are required for work at this hospital site.
  • The ability to restrain individuals is required for work at this hospital site.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or incidents, maintaining detailed documentation as required by Allied Universal and the site policies.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification as needed, and assisting with visitor management.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries, serving as a visible Allied Universal representative on-site.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as necessary to address incidents and maintain a secure environment.
