About The Position

As a Security Officer – Hospital Full Time in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination is required for work at hospital sites.
  • Work may involve assignments in hospital morgue areas.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to safely restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal and healthcare facility staff during emergency situations, following established procedures.
