About The Position

As a Security Officer – Hospital Full Time in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

Proof of vaccination is required for work at hospital sites.
Work may involve assignments in hospital morgue areas.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to safely restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
Support Allied Universal and healthcare facility staff during emergency situations, following established procedures.
